Well my buddy flew in fri @ 1100 went out to the first spot after he shot my gun a few times aand felt ok a 223, walking in we saw two out about 8-900 yds had to set up at that spot not really were I wanted we had a 110 yd view then a hill to the bottom @425 yds well we called and howled and they just looked but another came and hooked up with em??? now its been 45 min. so onto the fox in distress and me on the howler to fight with it,as soon as the sound hit em, here comes 1, then the other following we lose them below the hill! Never show up??? the 3rd one starts coming after some more calling, and i'm ready to try a shoot @ 600yds but he stops and looks to our left and goes that way, I'm thinking the other 2 are below the hill still we wait longer no yotes 1hr 20min,I stand up and yep there all all 3 at 430 yds won't respond to any calls,to far for my buddy he tells me to shoot, s##t now their moving away @450 I put the cross hair 4in over the biggest wack it folds the other 2 running before I can stop one it stops on its own and runs back to the one floppin on the grnd and stops 25 ft from it wack #2 hit the grnd the3rd one aint stoping into the cattails and out on the ice and gone, my buddy looks at me and says cotote huntin piece a cake!!!(its he first time ever) My farthest yote 540 but I'm just all smiles to make a double @over 400 yds shooting a 22- 250 perfect no wind and 40deg. next spot no yote 25min then fox and coyoe call agian and out steps a yote @ hyalf mile never moves unyil he walked away??? 2nd one to our left, same deal?? My buddy says coyote huntin piece a cake!! then nothing the rest of the day last stand 4 diff. groups respond but it gets dark, next day we'll just leave it at FOG,A FLAT TIRE etc... until a first time miss @ 1ooyds for my buddy! ME:"piece a cake", weel he did shoot his !st coyotr the last set perfect came in on his side along a ridge down a dip out he came barked he stopped wack buddies 1st yote and on video to boot (Travis hooked up with use to video) high 5s pic's etc.. back to truck FLAT tire we got some air in it and made it home next day $ new tires and windy day did see 2 yotes breed @ 1/2 mile they did come but held up and gone. yesterday Tue. no respones"coyote huntin piece a cake" Ya right.....
