I've got a problem

Post by DOUBLE LUNG »

I just purchased the Randy Anderson Hot Dog call and for the life of me I can't get that thing to sound even close to a coyote howling. The reed will stick down to the mouth peice. If it doesn't do that it just makes a terrible sound. All my other call sound great but this one is just kicking my butt. Not sure if it is me or the call.
Handing out Lollipops or Dirt Naps. Looks like we are all out of Lollipops.

sorry to be the messenger of bad news but I have heard other people have problems with the hot dog and they don't like it. I have one and hardly use it. about one out of 10 howls I can make it sound good.

Just my 2 cents but are you useing lips or teeth? I am a lip guy and using lips on the hot dog for me just does not work. If I use teeth I can make it work every time. Also takes alot of air but for me teeth make it happen. Hope this is helpful.
I would rather have a slow hit than a fast miss...

I agree, this is call is not for lip users. I had to put my mine away because I can't stand using my teeth, so I bought a new call!
