Last couple of checks on my little control line. First three I had forgot my camera so I had to use my cell for the pics. There not great quality. The last on is pretty cool for me cause my Dad was with me. First time he's seen my line and he was impressed. He taught me alot.
Had this one on a flat set and a drag. He made it about 35 yards.
Small hole set
had this one in a bighole set that I had caught one in before.

Caught this one is the same location as the top picture. Flat set but this time I staked it.
Caught twelve on this ranch so far. Getting a little slow. Probly made a dent in them and there also starting to disperse. Gonna pull up next week and go to the next spot.
After I talked to a fur buyer about prices the other day I was prepared to start throwing them in the ditch but I had to skin this one. He was very pretty and weighed close to 40 I'm guessing.
Hang onto those pelts!! A lot can happen from now until the spring fur sales. I know the word isn't really good right now for coyotes, but your work will pay off. If you have the room to keep them and or freeze the put up hide, you can sell next year or future years. This is what i plan on doing with my pelts.

My heart belongs to my family,
BUT MY SOUL BELONGS TO THE COYOTES!!!
I will Chis. I've got about 12-15 in the freezer. I've got five put up ready to go but they can wait till the spring. I talk tough but I cant make myself throw good ones away.
just curious what kind of weather patterns do you have in North East Orgeon this time of the year. Here in this lovely state of Western MN, we get all kinds of rain, freezing, thawing, snow.

August and September were pretty dry and warm. Then in October it started raining about every three or four days. Its just now starting to freeze up at night. After November its bobcat season so I will focus on that. I'll have to winterize all my sets by that time.
Caught this coyote on thursday. Its at the same spot as the racoon above. Big hole set, and after I caught the coon I cut a chunk of his hind quarters off and threw it in the hole for lure.
Pulled out at this ranch with sixteen coyotes caught. The most traps I had set at one time was 19.
the more food you have in your mouth at one time, the better you can taste it!!!
