Rich, does that bullet blow them up or not. i'm thinking a partition or game king will not. a 69 grain .22 would seem to have a better b.c. than an 85 .243????????????? the reason i asked is it seems the guys here shooting them are not worried about the fur damage and thats why they are using the bullets they are using. or perhaps the 62 0r 70 grain barnes tsx would shoot awesome out of a fast twist .22-6. and not do much fur damage. i did shoot a few fox and coyotes with the 45 grain tsx out of my 250 and was very please with the way they performed both as the quick kills and minimal damage. have any of you tried these bullets out of your rifles????

bnb, mines built on the Remmington 700 short action. I am not that good of a gun man but I think you can just re-barrel. I wouldn't know about the magazine clearance on the shells though.

The Speer bullet that I shoot is an 85 grain Hot core, which is designed for deer hunting. The B.C. is about .400, while the 69 grain Sierra Match King in .224 has a B.C. of about .310. Either bullet would be a dandy coyote killer, but the 85 grain Speer should not expand very much on a coyote. (smaller exit wound). I haven't tried the Barnes TSX bullets, but being solid copper they should work very well on coyote or deer. Since they are not blowing your foxes to kingdom come, I would say that you found a winner.
