Thanks to Tbush

Post by Dcoy »

Tried something new this morning before the storm hit and sent me home. Thanks Tbush! You'll figure it out when Pilgrim posts the pic for me.The question is,can you figure out the black one laying across the coyotes chest?
Rock steady.Mr yote took a 220 improved square in the chest.(head on)

Interesting sidenote:On the way out the minimum maintenance road I ran into the Ranch owner.I showed him the coyote and told him to tell his son I was done deer hunting and back to 'work'getting rid of their coyotes. He laughed and said a hired hand had just seen 2 drinking from the stock tank right behind his sons house. It had just started blowing/snowing but said I'd head right over there.Went around the backside of the son's house, parked behind a hill and walked in about a 1/2 mile.Set up knowing full well there were about 200 head of cattle over the hill by the house but they had always told me,'ignore the cattle, kill the damn coyotes'.
Set up,started calling and over the hill come 200 plus thundering hooves! They all pile up on the fence with the rear ones mounting/pushing the front ones.Cripes, figured I better quit calling or my days of hunting there(deer and waterfowl plus coyotes)would be over.200 running loose with 4-6 inches coming with wind would not make them happy!I slowly stood up and walked out with, thank god,the fence still standing.I've had a few cattle come to calls before but never a running herd.Scared the crap out of me.

Dcoy asked me to post his most recent dead coyote photo but I'm unable to find the attachment/paper clip symbol.

I've posted photos here before but drawing a blank or I no longer have the option?

Yes Daryl you got it.Had just put them on to try.Nice rig!
The black one is an earlier model that I had used years ago fox hunting.Rather than attach on/off in the car(Cases required in Mn where I lived then) or on/off when needed cause we walked and glassed vs calling,we just attached a chunk of PVC pipe and had quick deploying fancy shooting sticks.
The new one is sweet indeed.Leave it on all the time if you want. Can sling it when its collapsed and pushed forward-as you know.
Very solid as well.
