There you go, the oiled up rifle/action. The good supply of oil, grease will keep the dirt from getting to critical areas and keep the rifle working in summer conditions but does a hunter very little good in the cold month's when its been sitting in these temp.s, it has to be degreased and a low temp lube used , but even that isn't full proof... What the extra oil or grease does is act like a axle seal and keeps the dirt from moving to key areas and over time with out cleaning it will get into some of these critical areas and can cause a malfunction. Could cost you a coyote or even your life.. They should of used about 4-5 different AR brands in there test, I would safely bet that four of them would of passed the test as well if not all...John’s made sure to keep the gun lubricated, which is really all you need to do with an AR15. Keep it wet and it’ll keep running.
