few questions
i am new to coyote hunting and just found a deal on an almost new rifle(guy bought it and shot enough to sight it in then lost his job and needed some money) it is a remington 700 sps varmint in 223. came with bipod, sling and a 10-40x50 ncstar scope. i had never heard of that scope but with a little research i am wondering if it is anygood? if not worth having can you give any advice on a good scope to put on the rifle at a moderate price range. also wondering what you all think of the rifle itself? what would be the best bullet for this gun? thanks in advance for any advise you could give.

Re: few questions
Sounds like a good rig.I saw a scope like Coyotehunter recommended for sale in the classifieds at NoDak.com yesterday or the day before.Might take a look there.
As to ammo,if you don't reload, try track down some Black Hills remanufactured stuff(blue boxes of 50 cartridges)cause its very good stuff at reasonable prices.50 or 55 VMax or better yet,55 soft points shot very well for me.Or check out Midway USA cause yesterday they had a special on 50 gr Fiocchi vMax's in 50 cartridge boxes for $18.95 a box.Now thats reasonable!Fiocchi you say???Well, after getting my first AR I shot a lot of it from 40gr Vmax to 69 gr FMJ stuff and it all shot very well.At that price, might be worth trying.
Good hunting!
