Coyote drag

I went out today and shot 2 yotes and had to drag them about 600 yards back to the truck. Needless to say it wasnt easy dragging 2 coyotes (1 that weighted 35lbs) and carry a call, and a gun. When I got back to town I went and bought some rope so I can make a coyote drag. Does anyone use one or have any tips on how to make one that will work the best?

Here is a picture of a drag "Hook" made for me out of a deer antler. You don't have to get that fancy. Just take a broom stick or other pc. of wood, drill a hole through it, and tie parachute cord or other cord on it. Just make a slip knot in the end of loop. Make the cord about two and a half ft. long. Then just loop it around behind the top canine teeth.Image

If you put up fur and don't want to drag your coyotes i would suggest the coyote carrier in the shopping cart they get the coyote up off of the ground and keep you moving at a good pace instead of the coyote falling into your footprints behind you!

Brad, for a minute , I thought you were just being smart. I should have known better. I was thinking shopping cart like at a grocery store. Then I looked in the shopping section and found Reeses coyote carrier. That's pretty nice, but I don't like fleas. I always get a kick out of a picture with a guy carring a coyote or fox over his shoulder. LOL!!!! I guess that is just part of coyote hunting

i went out the day before the kenmare tourny to wallymart and bought a 10.00$ kids plastic sled. pianted it white with plastic primer and mounted 3 small eye bolts on each side eyes facing up. 3 small bungee cords going across. put coyotes on sled, didnt even know they were there. it worked great athough it may be a bit loud on calm days. also used it to carry my rifle as mine weighs abou 12lbs.

I used to use a piece of PVC about 5" long and drill a hole in it for a piece of cord to go into then tie not at the end and put a loop on other..
Now i have old cable snare shorten up and attached to a handle that was giveing to me by Randy Roede..

I've got a drag that works for 1-3 coyotes you just take a loop off the handle and hook it up and if its a double then 2 loops off and for 3 you take the 3rd one off and slide the handle down to the knot and tada  you can make it as long as you like and I like it fairly long then the coyotes won't fall in your track's as your dragging them I hope it make's sense :?
