I was out hunting today where the guy who owns the property says he has seen 2 wolves and so has the neighbors. Thats all fine and dandy but I live in southwest Missouri and we arent suppose to have wolves or bears or cougars or anything of that nature. So when he told me what he had seen I thought yeah sure, probably just a large coyote. As I was walking down a creek bed way at the back of the property in some pretty thick cover I happened onto some very large "coyote" tracks. Close by these huge tracks was a set of regular sized coyote tracks and they were about half the size. Could it be possible that there are wloves here?

sure you have wolves they dont know any boundries or state lines. I had a pair around here for about a year and a half but gone now and we hear about them every so often

I have heard of some wolves up where I am. Not too often but usually spring/summer/early fall I hear reports of a few.

In minnesota there are a lot of wolves even now (when it is illegal) are shot!!! I dont blame a single farmer for shooting them. The biggest problem people are starting to see is that the wolves aren't afraid of people like they used to be. If we were able to hunt them i can gurantee you that they would not be seen as much!!

I lived in Minnesota for about 5 years and have seen lots f wolf track and even a few on the hoof. I was hunting in southern Arizona South of the coyote mountain range. Right down close to the border of Mexico. this was about 6-7 years ago. We came across a wolf track and there is not suppose to be wolves down there. I had heard that they had release some red wolves to the east of that location but several hundred miles to the east. This looked even to big for a red wolf but I have not seen one of those up close but they are considerabley smaller than the timeber wolf.

I believe it. Like someone said, they know no borders. Especially if it was a young pair or something. I have a cousin in northern WI-- his kids saw a pack taking down a fawn from the schoolbus window! Whoever said they're not as scared of people was right on.

We're even starting to hear more about big cats in west-central MN (plains??!!).

When you do see them, shoot, shovel and shut up.

Be damn careful if you shoot a wolf!! A lot of minnesota wolves have a tracking ID tag underneath there fur on the back of there kneck.

We are seeing wolves in S E Wisconsin as well.
The DNR still tries to deny that they are here, but last year a state trooper hit one on I 43 (or I 94, I forget).
Kinda makes it hard to deny!
If you drop one, bury it and say nothing to no one.
