WILLMAR, Minn. - A 50-year-old man who told authorities he was fed up with teens toilet-papering his house decided to defend his property — with a squirt gun filled with fox urine.
Now, Scott Wagar is in trouble with the law.
Wagar pleaded not guilty on Wednesday in Kandiyohi County District Court to misdemeanor assault and other charges. He was released on personal recognizance.
According to police, Wagar was on his property Sept. 16 when he used night vision goggles to see 15-20 people running toward his place. He told police that he told them to leave, swore at them and sprayed them with the fox urine. He also allegedly struggled with one of the teens.
A phone message left at a home listing for a Scott Wagar was not immediately returned to The Associated Press.

Pretty good idea.He may need it again in court though.
Its the 'struggle'with the 'teens' that might bite him I suspect.

In his own yard!? That's a bunch of BS. If someone is in your yard vandalizing you should be able to do whatever you want.

If they would have been adults he could of done a lot to them and had no problems but the laws are written that an adult should "know better" when dealing with minors and can not take the law or "punishment" into their own hands.
I agree i think its BS i got dragged and slapped and the crap scared out of me by adults when i was a young lad throwing snow balls at cars and my parents never pressed charges!!

Praire ghost,
i would be taking a shot in the dark here because i don't know you, but i would say that the next time your friends tried to get you to do that again (throwing snowballs) you thought about it a second time, maybe you still did it but you thought about that time you got slapped or whatever. we can appreciate what our parents & even the neighbors in our community did to make sure we grew up reasonable. You & I are better people for today i am sure. i mean think about when we were kids who did you ever know that wore a helmet on a bicycle, now these kids today almost has to were one anytime they leave the house. it is sad to say but we are allowing our kids to grow up like wimps. let kids be kids.

i say within reason they got what they deserved. who is to say that once the kids got sprayed that they didn't attack the old man, so to get them off of him he used force. kids need to learn that there is an accountability for their actions. it is sad that we allow this generation to disrespect our most valuable asset (our elder) as humans

Related to your story...I remember being in church and messing around and getting hit in the head and turning around it's some old lady I didn't even know. And then look at my parents or grandparents, who aren't giving them dirty looks, but giving YOU dirty looks. As if to say "Dumb kid quit messing around in church"! That is the way it should be!

Tango,
Couldn't agree with you more!I grew up there and in my 'day',the parents of the kids would have praised him most likely.
I'm going there today and will try find out a bit more about it from my relatives. Its the 'struggle' and the 'he saw them running toward his place with night vision goggles'parts of the story I'd like to know more about.
