last year around the end of february/begining of march i was on stand and saw this big a$$ dog coming to my call through the woods and towards me. So when it 200 yards i treated it like a coyote and took a good look at it in the crosshairs and gave it a dirt nap :D then i walked up there and it was full of cockleburs and stickers and just had bad matted hair

Remember to always spade and neuter your pets and/or shoot them.

Years ago, I was groundhog hunting from a treestand, and as I started my decent down for the evening, I was 'treed' by three NASTY looking and acting dogs! No collars, matted hair, wild look, froathing at the mouth, the whole hellatious 9 yards!
I kept calling out to a farmer who was plowing in a nearby field to see maybe if they were his dogs, but no luck!

I arrowed the first one while he was trying to grab hold of my boot coming up the tree after me. Immediate 'lights out'! The other two dogs then attacked the first dead dog and went crazy from the blood, so I knew I was in trouble!

Darkness was coming on me quickly and I had about 1/4 mile walk back to the house where I was parked. So, I dropped the next two and covered the 1/4 mile like a racehorse!

I never did get a groundhog that evening, but also got nothing to 'mount' on the wall either!

I later figured, that if I could go to Sears and buy 'Arrow' shirts like Custer and his men wore, then why couldn't the dogs wear them too!?

'True Story'!

Pucker Factor!!? I don't remember my feet hitting the ground all the way back to the house! The hair was still standing straight up on the back of my neck. I did however return the next afternoon with my then 'father-in-law' to retrieve my arrows. The 125 gr broadheads I didn't really care about, but my arrows were always very distinct, as my name and address was on each shaft!
My 'father-in-law' checked the dogs and said that he was quite sure there was 'something' wrong with them. All, I could think was, 'Duhhhh'!
