during the day my opinion is the first couple hours at sunrise, and the last couple hours before sunset. seems to be the best time where i am from, but we have been skunked in the mornings and shot coyotes mid day sometimes also, but for the most part sunrise and before sunset

any time is a great time to call but they seem to react better early mornings and late evenings right before dark.

I call all day long, weather permitting. To be honest it seems like I have killed most of my coyotes during midday....11 AM to 3 PM. Not sure why maybe I am getting too anxious or careless early in the day and slowing myself down or whatnot later in the day. I'm wierd like that.

My records have always shown that the first stand of the day (1/2 hr before sunrise) is my best success

Gotta love the first stand of the day. When hunting tournaments, we have a rule that the first 4 stands are the most important, gotta make them count!!

Couldn't agree more. Hands down my most succesful part of the day is from when you can first see your crosshairs until about 2 hours after sunup. I think the last call of the day is a distant second.

yep, first couple of stands are my most productive. Last stand of the day has always been good for me as well. that being said I do pick my best stands for these slots. I don't hit my best spots at 12 noon. I have also called in coyotes every hour of the day all year round. A guy has to stay motivated and focused no matter what time of day it is. especially when you are calling tournaments.

That can be hard to do when a guy sees nothing all morning. Then usually before you know it you get a double to come in at 2:00 in the afternoon. This sport can wear on a guy and reward the ones that are persistant

yep same thing usually only when they are close. Have called em in with lip squeaks when you come over a ridge and see one bedded. i have seen them lift their head to a lipsqueak at over 500 yards on a calm days.
