I have a rifle that I turned into a switch barrel several years ago and I have a #3 sporter Brux barrel blank just sitting there waiting to be chambered it's a 9 twist. I'm trying to decide what I should have it chambered to anybody have any suggestions?

anytime..

So what do you want to accomplish with it? saving fur or is it going to be a deer rifle or both?? Med. range or super long range?

Edit to add: What brand and size of action? What was it previously? single shot or do you want it to be a repeater??

Save fur and hunt deer or antelope it's a 700 short action has to b a repeater I'm a bad shot. I think I'm just gonna stay with my 6x47 l it has served me well. I have been kinda kicking around the 6mm ai but I heard that sometimes the ai rounds have feeding issues?

The 6x47 Lapua was the first cartridge that came to mind.LOL

243 Ackley wouldn't be a bad choice or even the 6mm rem improved.. If you want to slow it down some them maybe a 6mm international, 6mm H.L.S. or 6mm XC..
