Their aren't many pictures online of it, but it was a pig! 104lbs so the missouri department of conservation reports. DNA shows it was not a crossbreed, so the MDOC says. I've shot some good ones, plenty of 50-60lbs dogs, but nothing like this!

Just looked at a picture on MDConline. I've never been to Missouri nor seen a coyote from there but it sure doesn't look like a coyote to me. Heres the link.

Finally found a pic of it.

Dont look like any coyote ive ever seen. I wonder if the DNA test was done with a "wink and nudge"....or if the person doing the test needs to go back to school so they dont screw it up anymore?

Better picture.

I'd say Malamute/wolf. The largest coyote i've ever weighed was last year at 40lbs.

Ive only ever seen one "coyote" that went over 50 lbs. If I hadnt seen it weighed myself I wouldnt have believed it. Over 50 lbs on a certified propane scale.

However, from where it came from, and seeing it in person, I really really believe it had some domestic dog in it. We've killed several crosses in this area over the years, lots of wild dogs.

Could be a wolf dog cross that got loose or was let loose, sure doesn't look like a coyote to me.

The last picture of a animal like that cost a neighbor $10,000 25 years ago, and it only weighed 83lbs.

I live in missouri and I have never seen anything over a 40 lb'er. This is a cross breed. The pic from barebackjack is a good one to prove it. The ears are wrong, the legs are to big in the front, Color of a malemute or husky, not like wheat colored. This is a cross breed. It is the talk of the state right now. I think the guy who did the test is also our local meth dealer/abuser. Supposedly DNA proves it is a yote, Ok what part? B.S.

There is no such thing as a coyote that big it is either a cross or a WOLF

I want to get in on some 50-60lb dogs. What state or country do you hunt?

I'm hoping to come across a 50 plus lber some day. Around here, the biggest i've seen or witnessed was 45lbs.
