I need some info and a little help here. In regards to the recent coyote hunt that was held here in Glendive and the responses I have gotten I am planning on doing a 1st annual Glendive Coyote Calling Contest here in glendive scheduled for the first weekend in December 2010. Any suggestions or comments would be greatly appreciated. What I have come up with so far:
Fair chase rules apply
No motorized vechiles allowed (ie) snowmobiles, 4 wheelers, airplanes. Penalty if caught, forfieture of entry fees and DQ from contest and banned for 5 years.
Start time is 7:00 pm friday
End time is 3:00 pm sunday, If you are late to bad
Coyotes will be checked for method of kill, weight, and temperature. Going to do the block method in the mouth like Jared at Baker does. Any conflict your coyote will be skinned for method of harvest.
Check-in saturday night with any coyotes you may have. manadatory check-in by 7:00 pm
Guaranteed $1,000.00 pay out for 1st place (my business is going to sponser 1st place)
2nd tru 6th determined by entry fee's paid, all entry fees paid will be split betwee 1st through 6th, (I am not out to make any money on the deal. I want everyone to have a great time and hopefully make some money as well).
Any other ideas or suggestion?
Thanks

I would be interested in it. If its like a normal year you wont even have to worry about snowmobiles cause usually that early we dont have any snow yet. So that would be a good thing.

thumpper23 Go back to any tournament post and on the first page the rules are right there to click on. Most of the rules you see in other tournaments, were actually taken from the rules from coyotehunter.net. They just modiy them to make them suite them better. I would not banned a team for 5 years, I would make it permanent!! Also if a cheater is ever caught please post the names to the individuals in a pm to myself so that we can keep record of people not to allow or watch close. Make sure they sign the rules that way they can't question you!!

Thanks lyonch...
Only one question, under rule 11 at the bottom it has Note Rule 25 is not reviewable, and is only enforceable by the tournament director. I can't find a rule 25. The last rule is 23 Sportsmanship.
Hopefully I can pull this hunt off with no one banned or DQ'd. I want it to be an enjoyable hunt for everyone involved.
Get my sh## together and get entered into the Classic next year, I was a day late and a dollar short this year

. I know its kinda early but is there any way a guy can reserve a spot to get entered?
Got a buddy that has a farm down by New England, so I already got some land lined up.

Well, I will definitely be watching for the sign up and hopefully there is an opening or two. I know of another team here that would love to come over as well.
Thanks Prairie Ghost....

I think rule 25 use to be the sportsmanship rule. There has been some rules that have been incorprated into each other to make one; since they were virtually one in the same. The rules get slightly modified for some tournaments to help with the area the tournament is in; such as fox being considered 5 points and coyotes 10 instead of just coyotes. The sportsmanship rule is the rule that is non-reviewable. If you dont tolerate any crap form day one, you will not have any problems in the future. These same rules will be in place at the minot tournament february 27th

come out and see what they are all about and how they are presented to the people to give you some ideas. If your not able to make it, you can always enter the Luke Oyloe memorial hunt in October of 2010
