I have a pair they call a modified bear paw. I bought them in 1984 I think. I got a couple of miles on them now. them seem to work fine. I would have to say though even though I do not have fancy bindings on mine I would in the future buy quick release bindings and definetely something with a cleat of some sorts on it. Hard crusted snow and ice raise hell with snow shoes and that cleat makes a world of difference.
