I have a Timney trigger mounted on a Mark X interarms action.

As triggers go, its kinda what you want to spend to some degree but Arnold Jewells triggers are pretty much the best money will buy at maybe 175.00 +/-. Shilen(same as the barrel maker) are also quite good as well as Timneys and are probably in the 100.00 range. These are the 3 triggers that you will find on 90+ % of the benchrest rifles in the world(most accurate rifles in the world) and they all make one to fit a Rem 700 action and quite a few others.

From what I have learned, if you buy 1 Jewell trigger you might as well put them on every rifle you own because after you use the Jewell, no trigger will ever again feel even 1/2 as good.

Thats what I've heard, and thats what I'm doing. I bought a used mint condition Rem 700 22-250 action yesterday and otdered the Jewell trigger. I have a call in to Krieger to see when they can fit me in. The barrel will be a 26 and 1/2 inches 1in9 twist heavy sporter with 11 degree target crown fluted. Going with a Hogue stock with the aluminium bedding. I hope to have the stock and everything else by the middle of next week. I ordered 300 rounds of brass and I just need to decide what bullet and load and I'm in business. Oh yeah I almost forgot to order the scope!!!!!!! I'm going with the Nikon BDC. I hope that suits everyone. I know it will suit me. Now if I can get my dogs healed up. I can't wait to descimate my first coyote!!

Well it sounds to me like I will be shooting my gun in about 4 weeks. Krieger and Hart both had the barrel I wanted in stock so all it will take is putting It all together. The scope, stock, rings, trigger, sling and bipod showed up yesterday. I went with the Nikon Monarch scope with the BDC reticle. My gunsmith also had a brand new Rem 700 short action all ready blue printed so I am taking my new used Rem 700 22-250 in next month to have some work done to it and have a barrel put on it. I'll post pictures when I get it all done.

I will expect some pics of critters with 22-6 holes in them!!!!!!!

I got my gun 3 days ago. Looks damn good, doesn't shoot for shit!! I'm having trouble with the scope and rings. Once I get that worked out my life will be grand. Ill

I have 1:9 on a hart barrel .22x6mm improved and shoot the Sierra BTHP 69 gr. with R-22 47.5 gr gets me about 3500 fps, federal Mag 215 primers, Winchester cases.

Thanks for the load info. I am going to load some up this morning and go sight it in. The barrels broke in and I got the scope glitch worked out so I think it's ready for work. Thanks for all the info from everyone along the way. It sure helped out.

if that does not work for you let me know, I have several other loads I have used over the years for that caliber.

I chrongraphed my gun yesterday and I am really pleased with the results. I also went with the Hart barrel 1:9, Rem 700 action, Houge stock. Nikon Monarch 6to18x40 Nikoplex and the trigger is the stock Rem worked down to 1# 8 ounces. The load I shot in it is 49 gr. R-22, Sierra 69 gr BTHP Match King, Win case and primers. I zeroed at 200 yards and I will start walking it out to 500 today. This is the sweetest shooting rifle I have ever owned. My group shooting was better with this at 100 yards than with my old reliable 22-250. Once again I want to thank everyone for there input on this rifle. It all helped.

Heres the first coyote taken with the new gun. 180 yards and all that would poke out was her head. I hope that holes the right size for you Prarie Ghost.

I am also interested in this round(future build?) and I have a ballistics question for those of you that shoot the 22-6mm. At what range do you zero it and how far out can you hold on fur? I am guessing, without looking at a reloading book or anything, that you sight in dead on at 200-250 and can hold on fur out to 350 or so. Also, does anyone know how this stacks up against a 6 x 284? Does anyone use these rounds for tournament hunting?

I was just wondering, did you hold on fur to knock down that coyote at 425 yards or do you have to use hold over or bdc turrets at that range? Still a damn nice shot! It would be awesome to use a caliber that would let you hold on fur out to 400 yards!

All that I know so far is that i zeroed mine at 200. I have the nikon monarch 6to18x40 with the nikoplex reticle. We calibrated to zero and I will start walking it out sometime soon. With the load that we worked up for mine, at 300 it should shoot 3.1 low. Coyote Hunter and Prarie Ghost will be alot more useful to youn than I will. I really would like to know what they have to say also.
