I would like to take a few minuets and tell you about the DAY COUNTY COYOTE HUNT.
Coyote hunt is Feb 6-7-8,2009.
All money goes to the SOUTH DAKOTA NATIONAL GUARDS FAMILY SUPPORT GROUP.
This is the 2nd Annual coyote hunt by THE ROOST.

" Fri Feb 6,2009 at 7:00 p.m. rules and Buy in
" Buy in. largest coyote ($15.00) smallest Coyote( $15.00)more at the meeting
" No Return on ENTRY FEE's
" All hunters must sign a WAIVER
" Team members must hunt together the entire hunt. This means 2 person team only.
" You have to locate and call your own coyotes. You cannot have a second team or individual out for you.
" No baiting.
" Mouth call, hand call or electronic can be used.
" Any game violations will result in IMMEDIATE disqualification.
" All South Dakota Game Fish & Parks rule and regulations apply. Game Fish & Parks will be at The Roost Friday night @ 7:00 p. m. with South Dakota Hunting Rules.
" Participants may hunt anywhere in South Dakota.
" Points will determine winner of over all contest.
" One vehicle per team allowed.
" Rules meeting & Weigh - in location: The Roost Grenville, South Dakota.
" Door Prizes and Awards to follow after the hunt.
" No artificial light may be used.
" Everyone needs to be present at the rules meeting.
" Each team must hunt together and both members are present at weigh - in.
" No dogs may be used for chasing/catching or decoying animals.
" ATVs may be used for transport to and from stands. They may not be used for chasing. Only one ATV per team.
" Shotgun, Rifles, or handgun can be used.
" No trapped, snared or there methods of catching animals - CALLING ONLY - These methods will be monitored.
" Ties will be broken by card drawing.
" Each animal must have blocks inserted between the jaws with time taken - no exceptions.
" Each team will be given 10 blocks with team numbers indicated on each block. (There will be a $5.00 deposit on the blocks )
" If a team runs out of blocks, call Patti right away 605-280-0777. Tape mouths shut and write down the time the game was taken.
" Each team must check in, even if they do not have any game that was taken.
" All coyotes that are checked in will be inspected and will be donated to South Dakota National Guard's Family Support Group.
" The Roost will sell them and donate the money to South Dakota National Guard's Family Support Group.
" Please do not dump any mangy or unwanted animals. The Roost will take care of them for you.
" It's your responsibility to abide by and follow all government game rules, laws, and regulations of the area(s) that you are hunting.
" All unused blocks must be returned - no exceptions.
" Rules are subject to change without further notification from The Day County Coyote Hunt.
" Judges will be on hand. Judges will enforce all rules & regulations.
" ALL JUDGES DECISIONS ARE FINAL.
