Full moon
What a great night! I left home at 10:30 pm to clear skies, no wind and with temp at 7. Very first set after bunny call glassed around and there's a coyote running AWAY
next set used a wood pecker. a few min. later ones waking at 40 yds left to right as I get the gun up it runs, bang flop, turned on the call for a few sec. I glass a fox sitting a 1/4 mile away looking to my left? 10 min later I spot a coyote coming from the left it takes off running after the fox. I coyote distreess at him and he turns my way and slows to a trott he comes in circles the dead one and bang flop ( and no s--t) he falls on the other one
I sit for another 45 min working a pair thats vocal but now luck I did see them once, my left foots frozen as well as my ars. Next set called with w.pecker and 20 min later a fox is trotting just doing the half moon around me at about 200 yds. Tryed to stop him but no good so I fire the 223 at him and flop, well lesson learned 200 yds later I'm chasing this vixen around with no gun
I grab her she grabs me I won
one more set and an old male howls at me and all is silent What a great night!!

Re: Full moon
Went out last night too, and had good response. First set one races from the east almost to shotgun range only to get spooked by another that worked downwind in a draw. Second set three circle to the south and east on black ground friend tries a shot but missed. Awful hard to see where they went. Third set took 20 minutes nothing. Then bang/smack friend got a huge female. Maybe 40 pounds! last set wind changed, clouds moved in, and nothing showed up. Great Night!!
