I've heard various stories about this, anyone experieced this too?
I recently killed a coyote and moved it from out in the open were I shot it, to a different area, and left it there. This spot were I left it is visible from my house and also not too far from my bait pile - I used to see coyotes everyday there, but have not seen or been able to call any since.
Will having a dead one around ward the others off? Curious if this is proven or not.

I would say no. I've shot mangy ones and let them lay and called in coyotes out of the same draw the next weekend. Just my experiences though, usually I don't let them lay unless they are mangy and most of the time even if they are i'll drag them to the road ditch.
