I found a used savage model 11 22-250 with a bipod and simmons 3x9 scope at a local gun shop for $349. Can anyone give me any positive/negative feedback on this gun? This gun doesn't have the accutrigger. I have my heart set on a model 70 coyote light but i came across this and thought i would ask since i really didn't find a lot of info on this gun via internet.

Well Savage is the cheapest most accurate rifle made in the US of A. Its the head space nut. While Remingtons, Winchesters, and most other rifles come with a go-nogo space from the factory the savage is set at the exact minimum thus making a more accurate rifle, not as a good looking rifle as most but will shoot with guns twice the cost. I will say you'll love it, or hate it for being so cheap and shoot so good.......JMO

I have the same model but in .223. I usually don't have to hard of a time getting a 1/2'' group or less at 100yds with factory loads. I don't think you'll be dissapointed with the gun.

I agree as well. I have a Savage 16 in 22-250 and it is a extremely good shooting rifle. I would buy another one. Thats for sure.
