"To skin or not to skin? That, is the question!"
After watching more of my coyote hunting DVD's I remembered one fellow with a truck load 'about 60 I think' of coyotes that he was taking to the 'buyer'. These were just dead on the hoof dogs!
So back to the question, when to skin or when not to? Talk to the fur buyers first?
Surely just shooting them and hauling them off would be the easiest thing, but then how do you 'keep' the dogs? Freezer? Just the hide?
Help!

Yep, a truck full of dead coyotes is a truck full of green bellies. Need to get that hide off as soon as possible.Get them while they are hot. Once get get proficient at it you should take no more than 7-10 minutes. Shot coyotes are usely just tougher because of the blood and hole from the impact. Just depends on how much sewing you are willing to do. Trapped coyotes are nice and clean. Even if you do not put them up, you should at least pull the hide off and get them from down as soon as possible.

I used to gut, skin and flesh all my deer, and my wife would do the detail fleshing with a large seashell edge! We used to have hides in various stages hung in the bathroom, but at my age that's getting to be too much work!
Coyotes on the other hand are much smaller than the deer here in Ohio though!
