Rookie needs LOTS of help!!!

I use a bipod attached to my gun.  it only goes to 23 inches so when I am sitting on my shooting stool it isn't quit tall enough, but they do make them taller.  one thing I noticed though is it makes the gun a little heavier.  I was at walmart last week and they have a monopod with a Y for 9.99. I used it one day and it seems pretty good.  the only problem is when you are walking from stand to stand it is a little cubersome to carry.  I think a bipod systems definitely increases your chances to get a good clean shot.  they sure help the steadiness.

They are a little heavy but I do like the Harris brand of bi-pods.
