i just recently purchased the rem ar bushmaster.... and was wondering for some suggestions on the optics

If you're going with the carbine I would use a relatively compact scope.Something like a 3-9 magnification with a 40mm objective dia. It doesn't make much sense to buy a light, handy rifle and put a huge scope on it. Any of the big names would work: Nikon, Leupold, etc. You can get a really nice 3-9 for 150 to 200 bucks.
